Temple Sinai’s Special Purpose Funds

 

Art Fund
To be used to purchase art for the Temple.

Doron Abosch Memorial Fund
For the maintenance of the grand piano and to support our annual concert.

Adelstein Cultural Arts Fund
For the development of cultural arts programs.

Religious School Fund
To provide scholarship funds for our teachers to attend educational conferences, workshops and courses which will enhance the Religious School. Also provides scholarships for children in Religious School

Building Fund
Major construction and repairs on our building, and to purchase equipment and furnishings for the building and grounds.

Cemetery Beautification Fund
To purchase landscaping for the Sinai section at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.

Eber Cultural Arts Fund
To promote and underwrite cultural programs such as films, performers and speakers.
In memory of Roselle and Isidor Eber.

Samuel and Olga Farber Memorial Fund
Adult education programs.

Max Fogel Children’s and Adult Library Fund
To purchase Jewish books and media and to endow library staffing.

General Fund
To provide additional funds for the operating budget.

Walter “Wally” Heimlich Fund for Jewish Arts
Funds for programs for Jewish children and teens.

Jacobson Memorial Fund
To purchase candy and apples for Simchat Torah and Sukkot. Interest also used for scholarships for children in our Religious School. In memory of Alan Jacobson.

Kagan Fund
To be used for educational programs for Russian immigrants.

Legacy Fund

Memorial Plaque Fund
Names of loved ones are inscribed on brass plates affixed to the Memorial Wall at the entryway of the sanctuary. Cost: $300.00 per plaque.

Mitzvah - A Wave of Life

These f unds support Temple Sinai's year-long partnership and cultural exchange with Brown Elementary School, a Denver Public School in northwest Denver.

Prayer Book Fund
Replacement of Shabbat prayer books. Minimum donation: $25.00

Rabbis’ Discretionary Funds
Rabbi Rheins, Rabbi TelRav, and Rabbi Zwerin
Funds used by the Rabbis used to assist families in need and to support vital programs and organizations.

Julius and Helen Ring Israel Teen Scholarship Fund
To underwrite a portion of the community Israel Study Tour (IST) and to provide funds for our youth traveling to Israel on recognition programs.

Robin’s World Preschool Fund
To provide for the upkeep and expansion of the playground. Named in memory of Robin Ann Zwerin.

Lew Rosenberg Camp Fund
To scholarship our youth for  Jewish camps.

Ilene Shiroff Memorial Fund
For planting and maintenance of the flower garden.

Joseph H. Sigman Youth Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships to attend Jewish camps, conclaves, travel to Israel, and other activities that would provide Jewish connection for our youth.

Sisterhood Fund
For board training and conventions for Sisterhood members.

Social Action Fund / We Care Fund
To provide funds for Social Action Programming

Mickey Sweet / Fischer Enrichment Fund
Special Programming.

Marilyn Tobin Memorial Flower Fund
To provide pulpit flowers for worship services.

Torgove Fund
In memory of Robert Howard and Sheldon Rosen. Use of proceeds to be determined.

Tree of Life

A sculpture displayed in the Temple hallway to honor relatives and friends on a special occasion. The cost of an inscribed leaf is $175.00. The cost of stone with inscription is $1,000.00

Youth Fund
To help our teenagers go to Israel, Jewish summer camps, NFTY, and MOFTY functions, and other Jewish social and education events.

 

ENDOWMENT FUNDS 

Sinai Circle Endowment Fund is a special purpose fund where only the earnings are used. Any planned gift to Temple Sinai, unless otherwise designated, will be directed to this Endowment Fund. Sinai Circle is the for all bequests, planned gifts, and special cash gifts to endow Temple Sinai.

Farber Cantorial Endowment Fund
To endow a cantorial position. In memory of Joseph Farber.

TEMPLE SINAI CEMETERY AT MT. NEBO

In 1990, Temple Sinai purchased a section of Mt. Nebo Memorial Park, which is run by Congregation BMH/BJ. Our Temple Sinai cemetery is located on East 13th avenue between Moline and Peoria and is exclusively for Temple Sinai members and their immediate family. Burial Plots may be purchased on an at-need or pre-need basis and can be paid in full on a monthly installment plan. Please contact Ted Ruskin for more information at 303-798-6566.
