Curriculum Overview
The Religious School curriculum consists of six core areas:
- Holidays & Symbols
- Prayer & God
- Jewish Values
- Hebrew
- Jewish Customs & Practices
- Bible & History.
The content in these areas spiral from grade to grade, enabling students to build upon what they have learned previously. Further, whenever possible, teachers integrate core areas within a single grade as much as possible. Students will be exposed to material in each of the six core areas.

The six core areas represent cognitive subject matter. Teachers will provide many experiential, interactive learning experiences to allow students to access the material through a variety of learning styles. The school is also dedicated to affective goals – we want our students feel comfortable in and connected to the synagogue community, the greater Jewish community and the principles and practices of Judaism. Our experiential approach to education not only presents the content more effectively, it also builds the students’ emotional and spiritual connection.
