Temple Sinai Adult Choir
The Temple Sinai Adult Choir has been an integral part of the High Holy Days services since the Temple’s beginning in 1967. The choir’s melodies and the devotion of the singers have been a constant inspiration to the members of Temple Sinai.
Not only does the Adult Choir lead the congregation in music during the High Holy Days season, but also brings their talent and spirit to uplift the Festival services and other special services during the year. In the past, the choir has additionally been invited to sing for a Denver community diversity concert. The choir is under the direction of Mike Weiker.
The members of the choir are singers who are in 10th grade through singers in their golden years. If you are interested in being a part of this fun-loving group of singers, remember, no auditions are necessary, but note-reading experience and “a good ear” are beneficial. The choir is always looking for new voices to share in their special camaraderie and to share the joy and honor of helping to lead the congregation in worship.
Rehearsals are scheduled periodically on Wednesday evenings 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., depending on the upcoming singing schedule, with snacks & “schmooze” time ½ hour preceding the rehearsal.
