Youth Choir
We also have a fantastic Youth Choir program!
Temple Sinai is blessed to have a talented and enthusiastic group of youngsters who devote their time to be a part of the Temple Sinai Youth Choir. The Youth Choir has been singing together for the past three years. They help lead the Family Services every month with their gifts of jubilant songs, as well as sing at the Purim Spiel, Simcha Torah and other holiday services.
Other opportunities where they have showed audiences their innate charm and “ruach” (spirit) have been the Community Z’mirah, sponsored by Allied Jewish Federation, the Temple Sinai Annual Shabbat Dinner honoring Rabbi and Rikki Zwerin, as well as at various adult living communities. The choir is led by Linda Leonard with the assistance of Laura Corlin and Angela Gold.
Singers in 2nd through 5th grade comprise this exhuberant choir, with interested younger sibling also joining the chorus. The Youth Choir rehearses on Saturday afternoon right after Religious School. Those students in choir bring sack lunches which they enjoy with their fellow singers from 12:00 -12:30 p.m. Rehearsal is from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. The rehearsals are usually twice per month on weeks that the Youth Group Meretz is not in session, to allow the kids to be involved in both opportunities if they so wish. At each rehearsal there are snacks, prizes and treats to add to the fun.
It is very easy to join the choir and they are always looking for more singers. Please contact Linda Leonard (303) 694-9223 lkayleonard@aol.com if you have a singer who wants to be a part of this energetic group of young people.
