Our Philosophy
Temple Sinai Preschool understands the importance of the young child’s first experience in a school setting. Our staff is dedicated to making this experience a happy and meaningful time for each child. We believe in respecting and meeting individual and specific needs of both the child and his/her family. We hope to nourish each child’s unique ability to learn. We encourage the children to grow in a developmentally appropriate and loving environment. Temple Sinai Preschool offers children an integrated approach to Judaic and secular learning. Our program emphasizes the development of a positive and joyful individual identity through daily experiences involving age-appropriate activities. Temple Sinai Preschool offers an environment in which emphasizes creative and hands-on experiences that foster:
Self Expression – opportunities are provided for playing and working as individuals, in groups, and for interacting with peers and adult role models.
Intellectual Growth – exploration and creation of new ideas are stimulated through the daily exercise of cognitive, verbal and listening skills.
Physical Development – through the use of manipulatives and creative movement, fine and gross motor skills are practiced and developed.
Self-Help Skills – participation in clean-up time, encouraging independent toileting and dressing for outdoor play achieves independence and pride in self-management tasks.
