Our mission at Temple Sinai Preschool is to provide growth and learning through physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. We believe that children learn best when they are actively involved with their teachers, peers, and surroundings. We offer a unique opportunity for your child to begin his or her educational journey in an environment where children are genuinely viewed as competent, resourceful, curious, imaginative and inventive. Our teachers are able to provide learning opportunities in both individual and small group settings, while using an interest-based approach.

106 010In our committed and caring community, you will find the beauty and teachings of our Jewish values, traditions and holidays incorporated into daily activities.  Although our goal is to provide your child with learning opportunities in a warm and loving Jewish atmosphere, our preschool is a school where families from all religious and cultural backgrounds are welcome.  We truly honor partnerships between students, teachers and extended families.  Teachers at Temple Sinai Preschool respect parents as their child’s first teacher and involve them in every aspect of their child’s learning experience. We celebrate and encourage each child’s differences, giving them the tools they need to develop a love of learning that will last throughout their lifetime.

Thank you for your interest in Temple Sinai Preschool.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss any of our programs in detail, please contact Mindy Neel our Preschool Director by phone at 303-759-0755 or email mindy@sinaidenver.org.

FAQ's and Explanation of Programs

How do I know which program is for my child?

Parent-Tot: children 15 months – 2 years with parents and/or caregivers

Two Year-Old: children who are two by October 1, 2013

Three Year-Old: children who are three by October 1, 2013

Pre-Kindergarten:  children who are four by October 1, 2013

Does my child need to be potty trained in order to attend school?
We encourage all children entering the three year-old program to be potty trained by the first day of school; however, we understand that not all children are ready.  If your child is not potty trained when entering the three-year-old program, we ask that you work with our staff to assist you in the process.

My child has extra needs, what is your policy on providing extra needs services?
Temple Sinai Preschool will consider the admission of a child with extra needs when the child will benefit from the inclusive environment that Temple Sinai offers all students.  The Preschool Director, along with the Learning Consultant, will determine whether the staff has the training and ability to work with the needs of that child.

What additional programs are available for my child?

Early Care: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Teachers are available to care for your child from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in a combined age program.  Early care does not require registration in advance.

Enrichment: 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
A quiet rest time follows lunch, playtime and different enrichment activities each day. Our two year-old classes spend their enrichment time napping instead of going to the activity.  You can choose to have your child stay for every afternoon when you register, or specific days of the week (i.e. every Thursday) or occasional afternoons on a space available,  drop-in basis.  You must contact the preschool office in advance to ensure availability for drop-in enrichment.

Extended Day: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
This program is designed to help parents who need childcare until 6:00 p.m.  In extended day, children are in a combined age program.  This does not require registration in advance.

Registration Policies

  • Registration applications must be filled out entirely for each child and accompany the registration fee. Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • Priority is given first to Temple Sinai members and currently enrolled preschool families and then to the outside community. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as classes fill quickly and space is not guaranteed.
  • Registration requires payment for all tuition and miscellaneous preschool charges to be current.
  • All monthly tuition payments must be made through our Auto-Payment System.  An enrollment form for the new school year will be sent separately. All payments must be made by the first of each month.  Your registration fee includes all Auto-Pay transaction fees.
  • If an automatic payment is declined by your bank or credit card, our bookkeeping assistant will contact you to make arrangements for another method of payment.  If another form of payment cannot be processed within 15 days, a $50.00 late fee will be charged.  A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed for any incidental charges that are more than 30 days past due.  If payments are not current within 60 days of billing, you will be at risk of losing your child’s placement in our school.
  • Withdrawal from the Preschool must be submitted in writing 30 days in advance.
