Healing Service
Healing Service
We have health issues. Our loved ones may have health issues. We are caring for someone who is ill. We are grieving from a loss, be it death, divorce, or any life circumstance.
Our Healing Service is:
To Heal
To restore to health or soundness,
To restore a person to spiritual wholeness,
To become whole and sound.
You are welcomed into an environment that is inspirational, peaceful, and unburdening. The service strives to comfort members of our community who may be suffering from physical or emotional pain from health or any life circumstances.
The service booklet that is used has been assembled by Rabbi Rheins.
The Torah used for the service is a damaged Torah that was rescued from the Holocaust. While the damage is not visible from the outside, it is lighter than other Torahs because sections are missing.
The ark is opened as we pray and sing,
We read responsively and we invite you to share your story, speak from your heart, pray silently or aloud as the Torah is passed to each participant.
We conclude with the Mishabayach, the song of healing. Members are invited to keep the service booklet for personal use.
Where: We meet in the Zwerin Sanctuary. We are seated in a semi-circle, on the Bimah. We come together every other month, Holidays permitting, on Thursdays at 11:00am to 12:00pm. Times and dates are announced in the Kesher, Sinai Snippets, and the Friday Night Program.
Connecting: For more information please email Wendy Vean or call (303)740-7282.
